Ouray Walker

Mountain Sports Freeride Coach

Biography

Ouray grew up in Denver, but traveled to the Western Slope of Colorado every chance he had during the winters to ski at Monarch Ski Area, just east of Gunnison. Ouray knew he wanted to attend Western for the business school and freeride team, and he did just that. During his final year in college, Ouray transitioned from an athlete to coaching role on the team and has been cultivating a passion for coaching collegiate freeride athletes to their potential ever since. Ouray is also a competitive CrossFit athlete and plays a large role in the team’s dryland training.
