Biography

How did you discover Western?

A friend from my previous high school, Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado Springs had introduced me to this school. I came for a visit and thought to myself, “This is the next big thing, I’m ready!”

Years later and here I am. This institution set me on a path that I’ll forever be thankful, dubbing me “The HUMAN Guy” and providing me with plenty of hugs and smiles, I plan to return the same!

What most excites you about your field?

The opportunity to aid students, one thing I absolutely enjoy is progression and helping people progress themselves. This position/field places me directly in a position with the students where I can interact in a personal way. Not only can I aid with academics, but I can also help with life obstacles. Life can be tricky to navigate at times but that’s why we have people, that’s why we have each other, I’m glad to be in a position of service work.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

I appreciate the calmness that comes with the Valley – coming from the city it’s a nice change in pace.
