How did you discover Western?

A friend from Mesa Ridge High School in Widefield, Colorado introduced them to this institution. Upon visiting, they felt confident that this was the right place for them.

Years later, they reflect on how significantly this institution has influenced their life, for which they are deeply grateful. Known affectionately as “The HUMAN Guy,” they have experienced an environment full of support, kindness, and positivity. They are committed to giving back in kind.

What most excites you about your field?

They find great fulfillment in aiding students, as they have a strong passion for seeing others progress and develop. This position allows them to engage directly with students, offering the opportunity for personal interaction. They are not only able to assist with academic challenges but also provide support with life’s various obstacles. Recognizing that life can sometimes be difficult to navigate, they believe in the importance of having supportive individuals around. They are grateful to be in a position where they can offer service and guidance to others.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

They appreciate the tranquility of the Valley, finding it a refreshing change of pace from the bustling city environment.
