Pre-Health Club

Mission Statement

The Western Colorado University Pre-Health Club welcomes students interested in a wide range of healthcare-related fields (i.e. medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, public health, social work, etc). Knowing that medicine is an interdisciplinary field, the club tries to expose Western students to the breadth of healthcare. We welcome speakers from many different professions and host hands-on activities. At the same time, we engage in important community service projects. We educate campus members about the importance of skin cancer prevention methods, we collect cheek swabs in order to add people to the national bone marrow registry, and we advertise on-campus blood drive events. Last, but not least, we have fun and uplift each other as we work towards our futures as healthcare professionals.
