Biography

How did you discover Western?

A fellow writer and educator and Western alum shared information about the GPCW with me at a summer writing workshop.

What are some of the highlights of your career?

Being awarded “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” (by a graduating student body vote), being the featured educator in a regional publication (Nspire mag.), being selected to serve on the “Leadership Team” (voted in by fellow educators), and being selected to present at a national writing conference.

What excites you most about your field?

Educators and writers are good communicators; it brings me joy to work with young people to develop their skills, so they may more clearly express themselves.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

My favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley is the outdoor experiences I have had.
