As construction begins on a new transportation services building on the Western campus, the new structure and road leading to it have been named in honor of two longtime Western employees.
The Tuck Transportation Services Building is named after Bryan Tuck, a valued and committed facilities staff member at Western for over 35 years. Through his insight, positive attitude and quiet leadership, Tuck has brought more than just talent for all things mechanical to the garage for the past three decades.
Odom Avenue, the road leading to the Tuck Transportation Services Building, is named after Rick Odom, another Western staff member for almost 35 years. The recipient of two Distinguished Mountaineer Awards, Odom uses his patience and problem solving in his role as Project Planner to bring to life projects big and small.
Together, the new building and road will honor both men’s work ethic and commitment to quality on the Western campus for decades to come.
