The Finance emphasis at Western provides a strong foundation in both the theory and application of financial analysis, preparing you to make informed business decisions in a dynamic financial landscape. You’ll develop the skills to prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data, applying financial theories to solve real-world business challenges. Additionally, you’ll gain expertise in security markets, learning how to evaluate, manage, and optimize investment portfolios while understanding the critical risk-reward relationships that drive financial decision-making.

For a hands-on learning experience, you can compete with Western’s award-winning team in the Rocky Mountain Investment Challenge or launch a start-up in the Innovation, Creativity, & Entrepreneurship (ICE) Lab on upper campus, gaining real-world experience in investment and business strategy.

With high salaries and strong demand, Finance is a top choice among Business Administration students. Upon graduation, you’ll be well-prepared for careers in financial analysis, financial management, accounting, and compliance at major firms such as Charles Schwab, FactSet, Northwestern Mutual, and Wells Fargo in Denver and Colorado Springs.
