College Level Examination Program

Offered through Registration & Advising Services, College Level Examination Program, or CLEP, exams allow students to earn college credit for prior knowledge in various subjects.

  • Exam Fee: Set by CLEP, paid to CLEP
  • Proctoring Fee: $25, paid to Western Colorado University

WebCAPE

For students seeking placement in higher-level Spanish courses:

  • Scheduling: Contact Registration & Advising Services at least one week in advance
  • Requirements: Valid photo ID and proctoring fee receipt

For placement criteria, consult the Communication Arts, Languages, and Literature Department

Available for enrolled, admitted, or applying to Western Colorado University students who cannot attend the national test dates.
