Nick Jennings

Biography

My name is Nick Jennings, and I am the Club President for the Rugby team at Western. I am from Montrose, Colorado, and moved to the Gunnison Valley for college. I am an Exercise and Sports Science major with an emphasis in Health and Fitness. I hope to have a career in sports performance coaching and physical therapy.

The reason I chose Western is also my favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley: the natural year-round beauty throughout every season. I started playing for the rugby team during my freshman year of college with zero experience and ended up committing to it after my first practice.

Playing rugby not only gave me reasons to train, but it also gave me some of the best friends I could have asked for and experiences I will remember for the rest of my life. The thing I love most about the Western Men’s Rugby program is the camaraderie on and off the pitch. The guys you compete with are also the teammates and friends you practice with, eat with, and go out with. Your teammates on the rugby team are your teammates in your Western experience as well.
