Mike Horn

Biography

As a youngster, Mike Horn’s most influential years were spent living in Lowell, Massachusetts—the birthplace of beatnik author Jack Kerouac and storied boxer Mickey Ward (see the film “The Fighter“). He migrated West and settled in the Gunnison Valley in the summer of 2000, and graduated from Western Colorado University’s fledgling Environmental Studies program in 2004. Under the mentorship of author and professor George Sibley, Mike fell in love with the western landscape and culture, and built a life around writing and storytelling.

Mike has spent the better part of the last two decades crafting stories for editorial and commercial clients, including documentary films like “Born From Junk.” In 2023, Mike founded his latest venture – Noble Machines – a storytelling agency based in Crested Butte, Colorado.
