Biography
Growing up in a small rural town in northwest Montana at the base of Glacier National Park, I spent a lot of time in the mountains, but not a lot of time around engineers – I didn’t even know what that was until I went to college! As a first generation college student, school didn’t come easy for me, but I found a passion for helping students like myself gain access to higher education, especially in STEM fields. After graduating from Montana State University, I moved to Denver, Colorado and have loved every second of recruiting and guiding the next great class of scientists and engineers. Despite currently living in the city, my heart will always belong to small towns like Gunnison and my hometown because having close access to outdoor recreation and fresh air with wide open spaces is where I feel most at home and most like myself. In my free time you can usually find me borrowing a friends dog to go hiking, running or fishing (I usually keep fishing gear on me during recruiting season) and ending the day on a brewery patio soaking in the sun. I can easily talk your ear off about true crime, Big Brother, and my cute as a button tabby kitten named Obie (yes, his name is short for Obi-Wan Kenobi).
