Kevin Geisen

Biography

Kevin Geisen has served as the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation, Mountain Sports at Western Colorado University since 2021, though his connection to the program runs much deeper. As a student, he competed on both the Trail Running and Nordic Ski Teams, and proudly represented Western at the World University Games in Almaty, Kazakhstan and Krasnoyarsk, Russia. In 2020, Kevin took on the role of head coach for the Nordic Ski Team and now continues to serve as the assistant coach. In his current role, Kevin supports all Mountain Sports teams and coaches, working to create meaningful opportunities for student-athletes to grow through outdoor competition and community. Beyond Western, he serves on the board of the U.S. Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association as Vice President of Sport, helping shape the future of collegiate snowsports across the nordic, alpine, freeski, and snowboard disciplines.
