The Western Difference

Small Cohort Nursing Education

We intentionally keep our nursing classes smaller so students receive individualized feedback, build strong peer connections, and learn in a supportive environment. Students have direct access to faculty with real clinical experience and receive one-on-one support in labs, simulations, and clinical placements. This hands-on instruction and mentorship help Western nursing students develop strong confidence and readiness for clinical practice.

The Western Difference

Rural Health Partnership

Our strong partnership with Gunnison Valley Health provides excellent access to its hospitals, clinics, and public health facilities. Students receive clinical exposure to underserved and rural populations, along with a broad scope of practice experiences in which nurses play critical, adaptable roles. As a result, graduates are prepared for diverse settings and are especially competitive for roles in rural, community, and public health.
