Western’s Professional Selling Program adds to list of wins after PSE competition

Western once again proved we are The Little Engine That Could

Western Colorado University’s Professional Selling Program had another great showing in a regional competition, bringing home two first-place finishes and placing several other competitors in the top five at the Pi Sigma Epsilon (PSE) Regional Conference held in Denver on November 9, 10, and 11.

“All I can say is, Western once again proved we are The Little Engine That Could,” program director Stan Weil said. “After several days of competitions against 12 other universities, the Western students came away with a lot of hardware.”

Western senior Abby Gridley took first place in the Pro-Am Sell-a-Thon; senior Ashley Cole was first in the Speakers competition, while Western’s Katelyn Kulow and Ian Parrish placed third and fourth. On top of the program’s success in the individual events, Jacob Tyburski and Ashley Cole were part of the first-place Marketing Challenge Mixed Teams competition. Pi Sigma Epsilon is the oldest co-ed marketing and sales business fraternity in the country.

The success at the PSE Regional Conference comes on the heels of the Rocky Mountain Madness (RMM) Sales Competition in October, where Western’s Porter Fox was crowned champion.

“As the advisors and mentors to Western’s PSE chapter, Joel [Watson] and I are extremely proud of all the Western PSE students,” Weil said.
