Western Colorado University Welcomes New Dean to the School of Business

Dr. Sharoni Little will become the new dean of Western Colorado University’s School of Business starting in March 2025.

With a career spanning academia, corporate leadership, and community engagement, Dr. Little, who had an illustrious career at the University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business, is poised to lead a team of passionate faculty focused on preparing students for an ever-changing job market.

“As a notable business school, our students will foster and exemplify essential business values—innovative curiosity, keen judgment, cultural and emotional intelligence, and ethical leadership,” Dr. Little said. “By combining academic rigor with real-world applications, we will equip our students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to have a meaningful global impact.”

A recognized expert in organizational strategy, communication, and leadership, Dr. Little has advised Fortune 500 companies, governmental agencies, and educational institutions on creating and sustaining high-performing work environments leading to increased engagement, inclusion, and revenue.

During her tenure, Dr. Little aims to increase student enrollment, earn national accreditation, secure funding for new and existing initiatives, and expand campus and industry partnerships.

Pointing to Dr. Little’s record, Western’s President Brad Baca said, “Dr. Little’s forward-thinking approach will help shape the future of business education at Western, creating opportunities for students to thrive in today’s competitive economy.”
