BLISTER Speaker Series returns to Western with bike expert and entrepreneur Claudio Caluori

GUNNISON, Colo. (Sept. 9, 2019) – Western Colorado University is excited to announce the return of the BLISTER Speaker Series and welcome Claudio Caluori to campus on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. in the UC Theater.

Caluori is known throughout the bike world and has a unique perspective as a former World Cup Down Hill racer, former team manager of SCOTT bikes and UCI Mountain Bike World Cup Down Hill announcer. He is also the founder of Velosolutions – a global leader in building pump tracks, bike parks and trails.

He will share his experience in the cycling industry as well as his vision for its future. Audience members are encouraged to bring their questions to the presentation. There will be additional opportunities for Western students to engage with Caluori in the classroom and in informal group meetings.

Now in its second year, the BLISTER Series aims to bring preeminent industry experts to Western’s campus to share their insight on the dynamic world of the outdoor recreation. This initiative allows students and members of the Gunnison Valley to interact with influencers who are instrumental in shaping the path of this growing market. Paired with Western’s first-of-its-kind Outdoor Industry MBA program, the BLISTER Series hopes to inspire the future leaders in outdoor business for years to come.
