Gather Materials & Apply

To apply as an international student at Western, you’ll need to submit your application, English language proficiency scores, official transcripts, a copy of your passport, and proof of financial support.

Obtain Visa

Once you’ve chosen an eligible program and paid your enrollment deposit, a Primary or Designated School Official (P/DSO) will contact you to collect the information needed to issue your I-20, which is required to apply for your F-1 visa.

Before You Choose a Program

Not all programs at Western are eligible for an F-1 student visa. Some, like fully online degrees or teacher licensure tracks, may not qualify. Be sure to review our list of approved programs before applying.
