Biography

How did you discover Western?
I found Western during my college search in high school. I was told about its amazing location and the academic opportunities by a teacher I was close with. When I initially visited Western I instantly knew it was the place I wanted to be. The small class sizes, programs, and access to the outdoors were unmatched in my mind. I loved Western so much that I ended up staying in the valley and getting both my undergraduate and graduate degree here, even staying around and becoming a professional employee.
What most excites you about your field?
The best part of my career with Western is the opportunity to work with students. Not only do I get to recruit students to the Energy Management Program, I also get to help find them opportunities for projects, internships, and jobs after graduation.
What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?
The small community provides so many opportunities to get to know people and be apart of the town. I personally love getting outdoors to hike, camp, or paddleboard on Blue Mesa. It is so easy to be out hiking in the morning and at local music in the evening.
