Transfer & Nontraditional Orientation

Your Next Chapter Starts Here

We’re excited to welcome you to the Mountaineer community. Whether you’re transferring from another college or starting your academic journey a little later in life, our Transfer & Nontraditional Orientation is designed to help you feel confident, connected, and ready for success at Western.

Transfer & Nontraditional Student Orientation is a one-day program that introduces you to key campus resources, support systems, and life in the Gunnison Valley. You’ll meet other students, get familiar with your surroundings, and start building your new community.

This orientation is for students entering with the transfer status or are 21 and older when fall classes begin. If you’re unsure whether this is the right program for you, or if you’d prefer the four-day New Student Orientation instead, please contact the Orientation Office.
