Welcome Back to Western

At Western Colorado University, we believe it’s never too late to finish what you started. Whether you’re returning to campus to complete your undergraduate degree, rejoining our Adult Degree Completion program, or coming back after time away, we’re here to support your journey every step of the way. Not sure which readmission path is right for you? Read below to identify your student type and learn how to get started.

Returning to On-Campus Undergraduate Programs
Adults Seeking to Complete Their Degree Online
Former ADC Students Wishing to Re-Enroll

Who This Is For:
Students who previously attended Western Colorado University in an undergraduate program and wish to return to campus after a semester or more away.  

Application Process: 

  • Submit the Readmit Application.
  • If you attended other institutions during your time away, request that official transcripts be sent to Western Colorado University.  

Additional Information: 

  • Upon readmission, you’ll retain the same academic standing as when you left. For example, if you left in good standing, you’ll return in good standing; if you left on academic probation, you’ll return on academic probation.

Who This Is For:
Individuals aged 23 or older who have some college credits (at Western or another University) and wish to complete their bachelor’s degree online through the Adult Degree Completion program.  

Application Process: 

  • Review the Adult Degree Completion Application Requirements 
  • Submit the Adult Degree Completion Application 
  • Provide official transcripts from all prior colleges and universities attended 

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • Must be 23 years or older at the start of ADC coursework 
  • Have a minimum of 24 credits from an accredited institution 
  • Hold a combined GPA of at least 2.3 from all prior colleges or universities 
  • If previously enrolled in traditional undergraduate coursework at Western, a 12-month period must pass between your last fully-enrolled semester and admission into the ADC program

  • The ADC program is designed for off-campus, non-traditional students and offers flexible, online coursework.

Who This Is For:
Students who were previously enrolled in Western’s Adult Degree Completion (ADC) program and wish to re-enroll after a break.
