The Latin American Business emphasis will enable you to study the field from a variety of disciplinary angles. Through a mixture of business, economics, history and Spanish coursework, you’ll begin the process of understanding Latin American people and nations. To understand the increasing interdependence of the Americas, you’ll be immersed in the issues and forces related to the constantly changing relationships between the United States and Latin America. Due to relevance and interdisciplinary nature of this emphasis, your Spanish language skills and diverse cultural knowledge will prepare you for a variety of career paths in any business entity domestically and abroad.

A major emphasis dives deeper into a specific interest within your major. It allows you to focus on a particular area of study, replacing the need for a separate minor. By tailoring your coursework, a major emphasis equips you with specialized knowledge and skills to better prepare you for career opportunities or advanced studies in your chosen field.
