Western prepares you to earn a secondary licensure through the Colorado Department of Education, qualifying you to teach middle and high school students (grades 7-12). Our programs equip you with the skills and knowledge needed to specialize in subjects like English, math, social studies, global citizenship, and more, allowing you to make a meaningful impact in the classroom.

While Western provides the training and support to prepare you for the licensure, the Colorado Department of Education grants and authorizes your official secondary licensure.
