The Wilderness Based Orientation (WBO) program offers new students a unique opportunity to jumpstart their college experience before the semester even begins. This optional five-day adventure allows you to meet fellow students, form lasting friendships, and explore the incredible outdoor opportunities that the Gunnison Valley has to offer. Whether you’re rafting through wild rivers, scaling rock faces, or hiking rugged trails, WBO provides the perfect setting to bond with your peers and gain valuable outdoor skills. With a variety of courses priced between $650 and $1,000, there’s an adventure for every interest and fitness level. Plus, financial assistance through the WBO Scholarship ensures that all students can participate.
