Western Colorado University’s ceramics degree program is designed for students who want to explore creative expression through clay, form, and function while earning a BFA in Art. The Ceramics Emphasis will teach you about technical and conceptual issues, incorporating both traditional and contemporary techniques. In the ceramics degree program at Western, you’ll discover that clay sculpture and studio pottery-making can be a springboard for new forms of artistic expression and contemporary image-making. As part of Western’s BFA in Art, our ceramics degree program offers hands-on experience and access to studio kilns and tools.
