WCU Program: Applied Statistics

Gain an in-demand and practical skillset.

The influence of data continues to expand as an increasing number of fields strive to be increasingly data-driven. Correspondingly, the availability of data for analysis has increased. This certificate serves students interested in the mathematical aspects of statistics and data analysis, including how to access, interpret and communicate data; how to analyze data and separate signal from noise; and how to build, validate and interpret predictive models. The certificate is available to all degree-seeking and non-degree seeking Western students and can be a valuable addition to any program of study.

Applied Statistics Requirements

Certificate

A certificate is a shorter program focusing on a specific field of expertise rather than an entire course of study. It does not result in a degree, but it can be completed alongside your major or as a stand-alone credential. Certificates are a great way to enhance your knowledge, strengthen your resume, and gain practical experience in a particular field.
