Bree Hare BA

JMC Director

Biography

Hello! This is the fifth year of Junior Mountaineers Camp (JMC), and I couldn’t be more excited to see the returning campers and to meet the new kids joining us this summer. Summer 2026 is especially exciting as JMC launches the inaugural overnight, adventure camps for older campers.

I’ve spent a majority of my career in recreation and athletics, using my Master’s degree in Outdoor Education and K-12 Physical Education teaching degree in non-traditional ways, mainly through leading and developing youth camps. My experience ranges from being a waterski instructor and camping director at an overnight sports camp in Maine, to running state-licensed programs for the City of Loveland during graduate school, to developing the STEAM Camps at EUREKA! McConnell Science Museum in Grand Junction.

At JMC, our mission is to inspire healthy lifestyles and a love of learning through physical activity, exploration, and science. We are intentional about giving campers hands-on opportunities to grow in skills, confidence, and connection to the outdoors. I’m stoked to help create experiences that build resilience, spark curiosity, and empower young people to discover their capabilities!
