Turning Point Program

Whether you’re navigating the transition to college or want to level up your academic game, our Success Advising team is here for you. Through the Turning Point Program and one-on-one advising, you’ll get personalized support with:

  • Developing strong study habits and academic strategies
  • Managing your time and maintaining a healthy balance
  • Preparing for exams with effective test-taking techniques
  • Gaining confidence in self-advocacy
  • Communicating clearly with professors and peers

As a supportive intervention for students placed on Academic Probation, they are required to work with the Academic Success Advisor to complete the Turning Point Program (TPP) within the first ten days of classes for the following semester on campus. Meeting with a Success Advisor provides students with valuable guidance and support to help them get back on track academically. Success Advisors assist students with developing effective time management strategies, setting achievable academic and personal goals, improving study and test-taking techniques, and building self-advocacy skills. These individualized sessions are designed to empower students, increase their confidence, and connect them with campus resources contributing to their academic success.

Find Your Academic Advisor

Current students can easily find their Academic Advisor and other support network members by logging into Workday. After logging in, they should navigate to the “Academics for Students” app. Within this app, students can click on the “Registration” tab. On that page, they will see a list that includes their Academic Advisor and others in their support network.
