Carlos Lerma Altamirano

Biography

Carlos Lerma Altamirano is a Peer Support Specialist who was raised in Gunnison and obtained a bachelor’s degree from Western Colorado University in Environment & Sustainability and Communication Arts. Carlos’s background is in non-profit work, where most of his roles were working with historically underrepresented communities. His most recent role was a case manager for the essential services department at Servicios de la Raza. During his time there, he became interested in social work and behavioral health, which is what led him to come back to Gunnison to join the GVH behavioral health team.
