Western Colorado University’s Adult Degree Completion (ADC) program has announced a new partnership with the educational consultant myFootpath aimed at helping adult and returning learners re-enroll and complete their degrees.
The collaboration focuses on students who left higher education before earning a degree or other credential. By combining ADC’s personalized approach with myFootpath’s data analysis, technology, and coaching, the partnership aims to create clearer, more accessible pathways back to degree completion.
Through the partnership, myFootpath will use its resources to support the University’s efforts to re-engage students, aiming to re-enroll around 60 former Western students for the Fall 2026 semester and to reduce the administrative, academic, and personal barriers that can prevent former students from returning to and completing their college degrees.
“Western Colorado University has a strong tradition of meeting students where they are and supporting their long-term success,” said Dr. Sally Cirincione, director of Online Professional Studies at Western. “This partnership enhances our ability to reconnect with former students in meaningful ways and provide the guidance, flexibility, and encouragement they need to return, persist, and finish their degrees.”
The initiative comes at a time when institutions nationwide are grappling with a growing population of individuals who have some college credit but no credential. According to the National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, that number reached 43.1 million nationwide as of June 2025.
Since Western’s Adult Degree Completion program launched in 2021, the University has focused on helping adults with some college credit return and finish what they started. The program offers flexible, fully online pathways designed for working learners, with an emphasis on leveraging their completed coursework and helping them graduate.
“Many students leave college with every intention of coming back, but life often gets in the way,” said JT Allen, CEO and founder of myFootpath. “Western recognizes that reality and is taking a proactive approach to reengagement. We’re excited to partner with their team to help students regain momentum and complete what they started.”
