Wellness Elevated

The mission of Wellness Elevated.

Our mission is twofold:

  • To provide an evidence-based, supervised exercise program for people living with clinical conditions such as heart disease, stroke, diabetes, cancer, obesity, Parkinson’s Disease, and many others.
  • To provide meaningful experiential learning opportunities for our undergraduate and graduate students.

Student & Community Impact

At Wellness Elevated, we help our clients achieve an improved quality of life through exercise, diet, social connections, and a hefty dose of education and encouragement. Working with the University and Exercise & Sport Science students allows us to effectively remove cost as a barrier to adherence.

Qualified clinical exercise physiologists oversee the program and offer a high level of specialized care to assist clients wanting to prevent or manage limitations, improve general health and quality of life, or return to normal functioning. Wellness Elevated will not only restore client confidence in their general health and physical well-being but also empower and educate them to incorporate healthy choices into their lifestyle permanently.

What to Expect
Learn With Purpose

Establishing a baseline and goals.

Wellness Elevated consists of an initial consult, which will identify the individual’s limitations, program goals, and specific needs. The program also includes a comprehensive battery of baseline and post-program assessments, including a graded exercise test and flexibility, strength, and balance assessments. Finally, clients receive an individualized exercise prescription, careful monitoring, and education on various health and fitness-related topics.

Develop real-world skills.

Wellness Elevated teaches students how to partner with experienced faculty and community members to address challenges and gain experience working with clients and project management. The real-world experience is apparent in the transformation and help given to the community where you live, play, and work!
