Narrative & Performance

Create, perform, and inspire with student-led media & arts.

As part of Western’s creative community, you’ll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in media, theatre, and storytelling through student-led organizations. Whether you’re performing with the Western Theatre Company (WTC), hosting a radio show on KWSB, producing video content with Taylor Media, or writing for Top O’ The World, these outlets provide real-world opportunities to hone your craft. WTC produces four mainstage shows annually, offering both performance roles and paid leadership positions in directing, marketing, and production. KWSB serves as a platform for aspiring DJs and broadcasters, while Taylor Media and Mountaineer Media help students develop skills in film production, journalism, and digital storytelling. Writers can also refine their voice through Top O’ The World, Western’s student newspaper, or Wordhorde, a community dedicated to creative writing, workshops, and live literary events. No matter your passion, Western gives you the space to create, collaborate, and share your voice.
