Women's History Month

Celebrating women's contributions, past and present.

At Western, we honor the trailblazing women who have shaped our history, culture, and communities. During Women’s History Month—and every month—we stand in solidarity with our women students, faculty, and staff, celebrating their achievements and lifting up their voices.

Through campus-wide events, conversations, and celebrations, we acknowledge the powerful legacy of women in shaping the world we live in today. We reflect, we learn, and we take time to celebrate women’s achievements in every field and walk of life.

Whether you’re finding inspiration in the stories of women who came before, making your own mark, or embracing the strength in your journey, you’ll find a community that supports your growth and celebrates your voice.

What is Women’s History Month?

Women’s History Month, observed every March, is a time to honor and celebrate the contributions of women in every field—from politics and business to art, science, and beyond. It’s a time to reflect on the achievements of women who have paved the way for progress and recognize the work still ahead of us.

At Western, we use this month to acknowledge the trailblazing women in our history, as well as to create space for conversations and growth. We amplify the voices and stories of women, celebrating the courage, determination, and resilience that have propelled us forward.

How Can I Support?

Start by showing up. Attend events, listen to the stories of women in our community, and learn from their experiences. Support women-owned businesses and creators. Be curious, ask questions with respect, and approach each conversation with an open heart. Above all, commit to supporting women—not just this month, but every day.
