Residence Hall Association

What is RHA?

Western Colorado University’s Residence Hall Association (RHA) strives to improve the residential experience of all on-campus residents by creating and advocating for an inclusive, equitable and accessible environment. The RHA Executive Board will promote leadership, sustainability and recognition, and will provide educational and social experiences for all on-campus residents.

Western’s RHA is affiliated with the Intermountain Affiliate of College and University Residence Halls (IACURH) and the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH), which is the largest student-run organization in the world.

Want to learn more about RHA? Download the Western RHA constitution and bylaws or read the Mountaineer Mindset pledge.

What is Community Council?

Community Councils are located in each residential complex and are made up of student volunteers who want to represent and give back to their residential complex. With the support of RHA, each Community Council strives to promote leadership, sustainability and recognition by providing educational and social experiences for their residential complex.

Send a Care Package

Want to give a meaningful gift to your favorite Western student? Send them a care package!

Browse care packages and other gifts at Our Campus Market.

Western’s partnership with Our Campus Market allows you to give a heartfelt gift while also donating to a fund that helps Western student leaders. The profits from this partnership help reduce the cost for Western’s RHA Executive Board to attend regional and national leadership conferences, and subsequently create better Residence Life programming that benefits all on-campus residents.

Send “dorm room essentials” to your student during their first week on campus, or let them know you’re thinking of them by ordering a box full of their favorite snacks during finals week. Care packages also make perfect birthday or holiday gifts, and can be sent any time throughout the year. The care packages are delivered directly to a student’s mailbox in the Mail Center.
