Biography
Growing up in Northern Michigan, McKenzie fell in love with the outdoors and dreamed of adventure. In her pursuit of new experiences, she studied Economics and Public Relations on the shore of Lake Superior. As a first-generation college student, McKenzie found purpose in helping others succeed in college with an emphasis on student wellness. After completing a M.S. in Student Affairs and Higher Education, she packed the car and got here as fast she could. While working at Western, she thought she could learn a bit more and finished her M.B.S in Rural Community Health. When she’s not at Western, McKenzie is on the slopes or hiking among the wildflowers with her standard poodles, Addi and B.
