Registration Information

Registration opens February 27

Instructor permission required only if class is closed or requires special permission.  Should be done online – MyWestern Instructor permission is required through the drop deadline (see section below). Adding a class after the drop deadline requires department chair approval.  A signed add form must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar in Taylor Hall 300, or by email to registrar@western.edu.

10 week session – June 10
Full Summer – May 22

Teacher Institute – June 10
No permission is required to drop a course. A refund will be given if applicable. Drops should be done online through MyWestern with the exception of weekend classes which must be done through the Office of the Registrar.
Withdraw from a Course
Maymester – May 22
1st 5 week – June 22
2nd 5 week – July  26
10 week session – July  15
Full Summer – July 7
Late Session – August 2
Advisor and instructor signatures required on a withdraw slip. Will appear on record as a “W”. No Refund. Withdraw slip must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar. Not Permitted

Fall term starts August 21.

Registration for Continuing Students

  • Continuing students schedule an appointment to meet with your faculty advisor. Advising begins on February 27.
  • Registration for continuing students begins March 27. Your specific time relates to the number of credits you have completed.
  • Your bill is due the first day of the semester. Pay by the deadline to avoid late fees.

Registration for New Students

  • Registration for new students begins May 1.
  • The Academic Resource Center (ARC) is available for additional information on advising and registration for new students.
