Biography
My name is Spencer Smith, and I am from San Dimas, California. I graduated from Western in 2021 with a degree in Psychology and Sociology with an emphasis in Criminal Justice and a minor in Pre-Law. I have played five years of NCAA football for Western as a Tight-End. I am currently enrolled in the Master of Behavioral Science program. I also work in the Registration & Advising Services as the Success Advisor.
How did you discover Western?
I was recruited to play football for Western when I was a senior in high school.
What are some of the highlights of your career?
Athletics at Western have given me tons of highlights throughout my career here at Western, but most of all it provided friendships and connections that will always be apart of my life.
What most excites you about your field?
When it comes to my role as the Success Advisor, I love the concept of helping people out of tough situations. We all go through tough times, and I am passionate about helping people get back on the right track to finish strong.
What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?
I love to fly fish all summer and snowboard all winter! The Valley always has something amazing for me to do!
