After leaving Vermont he spent a year and a half on Martha’s Vineyard, managing the loan servicing department of the Edgartown National Bank. Upon moving to Denver he began work with the State of Colorado, first in the central budget office of the Department of Personnel and Administration where he was responsible for submitting funding requests for various divisions as well as overseeing the operating common policy requests that impacts all state agencies. He later moved to the Department of Public Health and Environment where he was initially responsible for budget analysis and funding requests for all health divisions and capital construction. In 2020 he became the Budget Director for CDPHE and served in that role for a year and half before moving into the Disease Control and Public Health Response division specifically to work with incoming federal COVID funding and to focus on the reorganization of the fiscal unit. In his free time Ian enjoys spending time in nature with his wife Rachel. In the winter they are avid skiers, and they spend their summers camping and getting out on the trails
