Biography

Chris Lindner has been rock climbing for 35+ years. He was born into a climbing family in San Diego, CA and excelled early on, receiving his first sponsorship contract at age six after climbing the grade of 5.12. By age nine he was climbing 5.13 and then at the age of 16, after climbing his first 5.14c, he started his “professional” career as a salary-based athlete. Over the next 10+ years, Chris traveled all over the world climbing and competing along with the world’s best climbers. He’s landed front cover photos on Climbing magazine, Rock and Ice magazine, and three covers on Urban Climber magazine, along with several starring roles in the best-selling climbing movies of the era. Chris now lives in Gunnison, CO along with his wife and two kids, working full-time as an IT professional, while coaching the climbing team at WCU. He enjoys sharing his climbing knowledge and experiences with the next generation of climbers, helping them reach their next level in a fun and safe atmosphere.
