How did you discover Western?

Someone from Admissions visited my school and changed my mind on where I wanted to go. He was the reason why I decided to visit. After visiting, I changed my mind from attending Colorado Mesa University to coming to Sunny Gunni, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The small campus was the perfect spot for me to succeed. The Multicultural Center (MCC) was key in grabbing my attention during my visit.

What are some of the highlights of your time at Western?

Every memory that resulted from getting involved. I’m heavily involved in the Multicultural Center (MCC) and there is no other place I wish I would’ve spent my time at. My peers turned into family there. I loved hosting events through the clubs in the MCC. The MCC allowed me to build a strong foundation and branch out.

What most excites you about your major?

The combination of both majors will allow me to interact with amazing people in the business world, a key skill to possess in today’s society. I am a people’s person at heart and my majors are a perfect fit for my lifestyle.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

Going to the White Water Park! The weather and view here are perfect for fun afternoons with friends.
