School of Environment & Sustainability Scholarship Application Form

    If you wish to be considered for more than one of these scholarships, your personal statement MUST include a separate section for each scholarship clearly addressing how you meet each award’s specific requirements.

  • Personal Statement

  • Include a personal statement which introduces you to the award committee and indicates why you should be awarded each of the scholarships you have applied for, including sections which explicitly address how you meet the specific requirements/criteria for the award. You may also include information about financial need, academic standing, your progress toward the ENVS degree, and any other factors you would like to be taken into consideration. You can review each award’s requirements at the ENVS scholarship page. Applications which do not clearly address the requirements for the scholarship being applied for will not be considered.

  • Tutoring Assistance

  • School of ENVS tutors are available to help you with your personal statement. If you would like to meet with a tutor, email: tutors@western.edu

  • References

    Supply contact information (email) for up to three references who can confirm or comment on the relevant details of your application and personal statement.

  • Transcripts and Resume

    If applying as a first-year student, please attach a copy of your high school transcript (unofficial transcripts are sufficient) and college transcripts from another institution if you have college credit. Please also attach a resume.
