For which course(s) are you the Supplemental Instructor? Chemistry 113
Why should someone attend one of your SI sessions? As a former chemistry hater, I can genuinely relate to the struggle of passing chemistry. Finding a social atmosphere centered around challenging course work created a network of resources that influenced my dedication to academics. When someone attends my SI sessions they leave with a sense of confidence and diligent work ethic. We work to develop study methods and identify individual strengths and weaknesses pertaining to the course through peer engagement.
What is your favorite thing about the course(s) you’re leading? While chemistry is generally a tough subject for most students, it is an extremely rewarding experience being able to take part in helping others achieve success. A handful of students in this course begin thinking it’s going to be impossible to pass. I really enjoy assisting them through the class.
