Biography

Stan Weil is one of the original architects of the cable and digital industry’s growth and success. Stan, as a senior executive for Turner Broadcasting and Knowledge TV, combined the strengths and resources of these emerging companies designing innovative methods for increasing awareness and revenue. For years, Stan worked in close partnership with Ted Turner overseeing the creation and development of many of today’s renowned properties and assets at Turner Broadcasting Systems. As Executive Vice-President, Entertainment Division: Sales and Marketing, Stan was responsible for the revenue generation and marketing for all of Turner’s entertainment units: TBS, TNT, The Cartoon Network, and its syndicated content libraries. This division was the first advertising sales arm in the cable industry to generate a billion dollars in revenue.

After his successful run in the cable industry, Stan joined the digital world as Executive Vice-President of Marketing and Sales for the entertainment gaming Internet site, The Hollywood Stock Exchange. He created and built the HSX sales division nationally, restructured the marketing division and was responsible for the successful worldwide branding of HSX to the consumer and advertising community.

Stan became the COO/ General Manager of Womensforum.com, the second largest destination for women on the Internet. He was responsible for the day-to-day operations charged with growing and maintaining a solid, profitable business. Stan’s clever, imaginative marketing strategies ignited additional revenue streams for the sales, syndication and marketing end of this emerging company.

Stan joined the non-profit, Partnership for a Drug Free America as Executive Vice-President, Director of Strategic Marketing Partnerships. He played a key senior leadership role in The Partnership’s major thrust to build media/marketing support at the national level. He created new kinds of supportive relationships through the establishment of strategic marketing/philanthropic alliances with the country’s leading national corporations. During his tenure at The Partnership, Stan had many notable successes, including securing an ongoing relationship with Major League Baseball and a three year strategic alliance with Comcast Corporation, valued at over fifty million dollars.

Stan headed up his own consultancy, The Stan Weil Experience that helped drive the marketing, sales and media efforts of companies ranging from Fortune 500 to start-ups through the development of imaginative ideas and platforms. The vast knowledge and expertise, the ingenious problem solving techniques and the bold visionary approach of The Stan Weil Experience enabled Stan to successfully deliver answers to key challenges companies face helping them to understand and navigate the contemporary landscape.

Stan was a visiting professor at New York’s Baruch College and Pace University inspiring the future leaders of business to creatively face the challenges of an ever-expanding contemporary landscape.
