How did you discover Western?

I discovered Western because of my family members that came here first. I was able to sit in on some classes, explore campus and get the whole Western experience.

What are some of the highlights of your time at Western?

While at Western, I have had the opportunity to do some really cool things. I’ve gone white water rafting, competed in video game tournaments and explored beautiful areas.

What most excites you about your major?

The major of Environment and Sustainability is very broad. It includes a great combination of science, communication, and policy. I have never been bored with the classes that I have taken because of the variety.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

Because the valley is small, it is easy to make connections with people in the community. For example, professionals in the valley will often speak to classes at Western. It is much easier to network with professionals in your field of interest.
