Biography

Morgan Craig has taught, lectured, and exhibited throughout the U.S.A. Canada, Europe, and Australia, including the Australian National University, Colorado State University, and the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts. Craig has received numerous awards including, the Pollock Krasner Foundation Grant (2009, 2019), the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Grant (2007, 2011), and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts Fellowship (2006, 2008). He has also been invited to several residencies including, Cite Internationale des Arts, Paris, France, the Macdowell Colony, UCross, Proekt Fabrika in Moscow, and Red Gate in Beijing. Selections from his oeuvre were recently featured in several solo exhibitions, including University of Central Florida, Binghamton University, and University of South Carolina. In both the summer of 2022 and 2023, he continued conducting research, doing residencies at Nafasi Art Space in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania, and Residencia Corazon in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the end of 2023/beginning of 2024, Craig spent a fortnight conducting research in both Madrid, Spain, and Marrakech, Morocco, as he continues work towards his dissertation, with an anticipated completion of 2026.
