How did you discover Western?

I chose Western for the location, because I am an outdoor enthusiast. I plan to graduate 2025, and my plans for after are unknown. I am the fifth women in my family who went to Western.

What are some of the highlights of your time at Western?

This past ski season was one of my favorite ski seasons here at Western. I have enjoyed being apart of club volleyball with my friends and people from my dorm. The labs at Western are also fun because I was able to go out in the valley to collect specimens for the course.

What most excites you about your major?

The most exciting thing about my major is learning about old events and how the past shaped today. Business administration can be entertaining, but I mostly enjoy learning how the business world works.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

So far, my favorite part about the Gunnison Valley is the close access to all the outdoor recreation. I love being about to ski most of my week, and then in the warmer months bike, hike, backpack, and all the other wonderful things to do in the Valley. I spend a lot of my days working on school spending time with friends, and I am probably outside. I also really love movies, books, art and music, like most people.
