Dr. Eun-A Park is an Associate Professor in the Department of Communication Arts, Language & Literature (CALL) at Western Colorado University in Gunnison. Her research interest focus on strategic communication, social and political impact of new media, media business and telecommunications policy (e.g., digital divide, universal service, broadband policy, industrial organization model and its application into broadband markets), the adoption and diffusion of new media technologies, and transformative learning. Her research papers have been presented at various conferences and published in journals such as Computers in Human Behavior, Telematics and Informatics, Telecommunications Policy, Government Information Quarterly, The Information Society, Digital Policy, Regulation and Governance (previously, Info), and Journal of Information Technology Education. Prior to her academic career, she was a researcher for a governmental institute, the Korea Information Society Development Institute (KISDI) in South Korea and published numerous analytical reports for Korea’s government and industry. KISDI’s research results were used as input in designing the Korean national plan for the Information Society and economic policies in the area of information and communication. She has taught courses on interpersonal communication, intercultural communication and mass media studies. She completed her Ph.D. in mass communications from the Pennsylvania State University.
