Biography

How did you discover Western?

My husband and I have visited Crested Butte many times over the years, as our sons live there. When we began to talk seriously about moving to the area, I wanted to find a place to work that would give me the opportunity to be a part of the community. I was drawn to the innovative programs that Western offers.

What are some of the highlights of your career?

My most recent position was serving as President/CEO of Janus Developmental Services, a non-profit in Hamilton County, Indiana. Janus provides programs and services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, operated the public transit service for the county, and provided contracted transportation for the county hospital and its various locations. I also have extensive experience in the environmental field, both in the state government side and in private industry.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

The scenery, the wildlife and the many outdoor activity opportunities.
