Biography

How did you discover Western?

I attended Western as an undergraduate and have always wanted to get back here. I have nothing else to describe other than I am an alumnus.

What are some of the highlights of your career?

The highlights of my career are the successes of my students. When my students succeed and become successful in their endeavors after graduation, I know I have done my job well. Because of this attitude, I have received several excellence in teaching awards that were student sponsored.

What most excites you about your field?

Teaching. I love working with students and seeing the aha moment when they understand the material in Biochemistry and the implications of the types of things that can be done in this field.

What is your favorite thing about the Gunnison Valley?

The abundant outdoor activities are my favorite things about the Gunnison Valley.
