NASC – Native American Student Council

Mission Statement

The Native American Student Council strives to provide and enhance educational experiences and opportunities for all Western students, Faculty, Staff, and the Gunnison community through events and programs while providing a supportive environment for Indigenous students. In addition, we strive to promote a responsible representation of historical and contemporary Native American culture through discussion and by providing a forum for students seeking understanding, interest, awareness and appreciation. It is our goal that the Native American Student Council will have a positive impact on the Western Colorado University campus in achieving the aforementioned objectives
