  • A complete application should include:

    1. The Western Concurrent Enrollment High School Teacher Application (complete below)
    2. Current resume/vitae, including education (degrees, dates, institutions attended) and teaching experience
    3. Unofficial transcripts of all undergraduate and graduate study, both degree and non-degree
    All applications will be reviewed by the appropriate department. Upon completion of the review, the Western Concurrent Enrollment Office will notify the applicant regarding the department's decision. Upon approval, the applicant will be required to submit official transcripts, which, for accreditation purposes, are required of all University faculty.  The applicant will receive a letter of appointment detailing the terms and conditions of the position. CE instructors are required to complete professional development and training in the summer, as well as professional development and support in the semester during which the course is taught.

    • Required Professional Development

      All teachers are required to participate in professional development the summer before, and during the year they teach for Western for the first time, and to use the syllabus, pacing guides, assessment tools and grading standards established by Western. They are expected to remain members of an online community of Western Professors as long as they teach for Western. Graduate PD credit will be issued for successful participation. There is no fee for the workshop and professional development.
