Online instructor permission required only if class is closed or requires special permission.  Should be done online – MyWestern Instructor permission is required through the drop deadline
(see section below). Adding a class after the drop deadline requires department chair approval. A signed add form must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar in Taylor Hall 300, or by email to registrar@western.edu.

Weekend classes must be dropped by contacting the Office of the Registrar at 943.7003 or registrar@western.edu, by the close of business day prior to the start of class.Students must drop a course during the first 15 percent of the class meetings.
No permission is required to drop a course. A refund will be given if applicable. Drops should be done online through MyWestern with the exception of weekend classes which must be done through the Office of the Registrar. Not Permitted

Weekend classes are ineligible for withdrawal.Students must withdraw before two-thirds of class has occurred.
Advisor and instructor signatures required on a withdraw slip.  Will appear on record as a “W”. No refund. Withdraw slip must be turned in to the Office of the Registrar. Not Permitted.

Handled in the Students Affairs Office, located in Taylor Hall
Credit/No Credit Option (Audit)
Same as add deadline. Must be done in the Office of the Registrar, located in Taylor Hall 300, or by email to registrar@western.edu. Not Permitted.
